The Bastion Americana Freedom Journal, Issue X: 19 September, 1943
As always, the Bastion Americana Freedom Journal is circling like a vulture, eager for any chance to pick at the Office. Not even the bloodshed in Chicago is sacred to those vile propagandists.
This is issue X of the Bastion Americana Freedom Journal. For more information, refer to earlier analyses.
This issue contains spoilers from The Case of the Man from Tomorrow and Operation Arm Breaker.
Content warnings: Violence, creeps, Nazis, gaslighting.
With the Office still mourning their losses from the Abwehr attacks in Tallahassee and Chicago, little attention was paid to preventing the Journal’s widest distribution to date.
The tenth issue of the Journal’s front page is provided below:

ANOTHER OFFICE INVESTIGATION, ANOTHER BLOODBATH:
DOZENS DEAD AND THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS WORTH OF CATTLE DESTROYED DURING DOWNTOWN SHOOTOUT
Chicago, IL – After finally taking action to hunt down the renegade thief calling himself Daedalus Spark, the Man of Tomorrow, agents representing the Office for the Cataloging of Unusual Occurrences did what they do best: instigate a violent confrontation with private American citizens that left dozens dead in the middle of downtown Chicago.
The Union Stock Yards in central Chicago were a bloodbath on the morning of September the 16th, with mutilated cattle and dying men spread across the square mile of open ground. Workers from the yards, which employed 40,000 hard-working Americans at its prime, say that they were forced off the job late in the night by surly officials and their conscripted cronies. What followed was a night of horror, and blood.
“They were using bombs, and machine guns, and flame throwers, all on the cows,” one anonymous slaughterhouse worker told the Journal. For a man whose livelihood is butchery, even he shudders at the memories. “It was awful, they were just killing them, all for nothing.”
The final death toll reached forty-thousand dollars worth of livestock lost, amounting to nearly two-hundred-thousand rations worth of beef lost to the brave fighting men battling the barbaric Japanese or those forced into unnecessary conflict with Germany. Several civilians and officials were also killed.
James P. Allman, commissioner of the Chicago Police Department and Irish immigrant had this to say about bowing to the Office’s demands:
“The Office arrived under order of the president himself, working arm-in-arm with criminals and Russians to cause a dreadful scene the likes of which our city hasn’t witnessed in twenty years.”
In case your eyes could not comprehend what was just proven in print, the top cop of Chicago just directly linked our socialist-in-chief with Reds and racketeers. The Office is little more than a clearinghouse for maniacs, communists, miscegenists, liars, – (cont’d p.2)

GERMAN CIVILIANS TARGETED BY OFFICE ATTACKS NEAR SWISS BORDER, REPORT SAYS
Imenstaad, Germany – New reports are coming to light regarding an Office combat mission in the south of Germany that occurred this past July, and the details are shocking.
Dozens of civilians were reported dead or missing after an Office commando raid and sustained artillery strike wiped not a military asset but a working cattle ranch off the map. The mission was known as ‘Operation Arm Breaker,’ a fitting title for a organization known for strong-arming the America people into losing their lives in foreign wars.
“The Office does not take bystanders into account when undertaking their inscrutable actions. They are only concerned with furthering their own unscrupulous agenda,” former official-turned-patriot Nedrick Garver explained. “If this farm, or any farm, home, shop, or hospital is in their way, they would not hesitate to grind it underheel like a cigarette butt.”
And Garver should know, as the target of Office killers and assassins - (cont’d p. 3)
This headline includes a photograph of that has been confirmed to be of Imenstaad, Germany after Operation Arm Breaker and includes the caption: “Above: The town Imenstaad, reduced to rubble after a brutal Office raid.” It should be noted that all damage to the town had either occupied prior to the operation or was caused by the Hrungnir flying tank.

Notes:
The analyst emphasized the names Max Q. Revere and James P. Allman for follow-up cataloguing. They also noted the mention of the defector Nedrick Garver with hastily redacted and colorful terminology.
Bureau for Cataloguing and Reference Analysis:
The obvious goal of the headline article is to continue the disparagement of the Office to the American public. Noting the destruction caused by the Abwehr ambush without mentioning the Montuoso-affiliated criminals, Silver Legionnaires, or Daedalus Spark is a clear attempt at manipulation by omission. The emphasis on the dead livestock over dead officials is meant to stir feelings of animosity regarding rationing and animal cruelty.
Commissioner Allman of the Chicago Police Department claims that he never provided the printed quote, though several members of his command staff are confirmed members of the Blessed Peacemakers cell of the Silver Legion. Future surveillance of the commissioner’s office is necessary, though no officials are available to do so at this time.
Just as the firefight at the Union Stockyards was wholly mischaracterized, so too was Operation Arm Breaker. The Journal fails to note that the town of Imenstaad was forcibly evacuated and razed by Department Three forces months before Arm Breaker. Most of the further damage was caused by the Hrungnir flying tank.
The increase in exposure of Captain Maxwell Quincy Revere by the Garrisonian Party indicates that they intend to prop him up as some kind of figurehead. His continuing essays and advice columns portray him as an America First-style pro-isolationist and supporter of violent militias. As with Commissioner Allman, there is need for additional surveillance of Captain Revere. Said posting will be available as soon as other officials have completed higher-priority investigations.
